Sounds a bit silly doesn't it, 'Curly Wurly'?  But that's OK because we are about having a good time!

We are, however, VERY serious about the quality of our dance and music.

CurlyWurlyEvents was born out of frustration. After many years dancing all over the UK, teaching musicality, technique and smooth biased modern jive, I found there were very few opportunities for dancers to use the new found skills. I wanted to slow it down, bring the challenge back to freestyles and provide a freestyle dance for dancers wanting to take it to a new level.

Apparently I was not alone in my wish.  CurlyWurlySunday is now one of the most reputable Blues n Smooth events in the UK, attracting on average 100+ dancers from across the country.  CurlyWurly Dave is the resident DJ and is well regarded as a master of his trade, providing music to both challenge and delight.

We must be doing something right as over 70% of our dancers visit again and again.

This year we have expanded our portfolio to include Snickers Saturday.  For all of you who want the smooth but like a bit of BITE to your night, playing soul, funk, upbeat blues and the very best of music to make you want to play.
